Today is the release of a Collabo that I’ve been anticipating for a few weeks now. Union’s Chris Gibb recently collaborated with one of my favorite brands Seattle-based Maiden Noir in creating a special capsule collection for the coming holiday season.  Comprised of signature designs from Maiden Noir - Raglan Giza Fleece Sweater and Outsider Shirt, with its unique double-faced quilted plaid flannel, lined with herringbone inside.  The collection also include a New Era 59FIFTY cap, with the same distinctive make.  All will carried both the Maiden Noir and Union logos.  The collection will make its debut at Union LA and Union LA online store tomorrow, November 21st.  A selected number of retailers with Maiden Noir account will also offer the collection.

Created in partnership with DJ Clark Kent, NIKE Sportswear is proud to present the Black Friday Nike Air Force 1 sneaker. “So I went to the fabric library, picked the prime suspects and went to work on the design,” said Clark Kent. “The end result…Something Black, Luxurious & Fly, and FRESH!!!! What better way to start the hoIiday shopping season?!?!”

Releasing on Black Friday (November 28th), this special Air Force 1 sneaker will be first available at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer in New York (on sale from 4am), followed by releases at Concepts (Boston) and Shoe Gallery (Miami) later that day. DJ Clark Kent will be present at each location on 11.28.

dubFrequency keeps killing it. After forging successful partnerships with everyone from Microsoft to Red Bull to imeem, dF are opening their first retail project, The Basement, in Echo Park (1832 W. Sunset Blvd, to be exact) on Saturday, November 22.

The concept store will unveil several new dF collabs, such as the dF x Estate LA fitted cap, their custom Zune player, and their dF x Knight Bike Co. 24″ cruisers. But the majority of the store’s stock will come from NY-based brand Reason and SF’s Homeroom Clothing. See you Saturday.

If you’re in New Yitty tonight Vapors Magazine in collaboration with A.L.I.E.N, UBER & BKRW, AUDIO AESTHETICS invites Le Tapin for the U.S. debut of “I WOULD SPIT ON YOUR SNEAKERS.”

The exhibit is acritical deconstruction of the “sneaker” in a post modern/contemporary society using a surrealist and a self described post graffiti aesthetic. Again the opening reception is Thursday November 20th from 7-11pm at the Yume Gallery 925 Bergen St., Loft 406 with the exhibit running till December 3rd.
